Road Rash 30th Anniversary Edition Controls and Controller Setup
Modern Xbox, DualShock, and DualSense controllers are supported. For the full button map, use the Controller_Setup_and_Mappings PDF included in the game’s Extras folder; it is the authoritative mapping for this release.
Find the official controller map
Open the Road Rash installation directory, then open Extras. EA includes scanned manuals and a Controller_Setup_and_Mappings PDF. That file covers the current controller layout and includes Steam Deck notes.

The confirmed race-music control
Press R on the keyboard to advance to the next licensed song during a race. On controller, use View on Xbox layouts or Create on PlayStation layouts. This control is specific to the restored edition’s in-race rock-music feature.
Expect keyboard prompts in legacy menus
The racing layer has modern controller support, but the original interface still shows its age. On Steam Deck, player-name and save/load screens can require virtual-keyboard input. Keep a keyboard available on desktop until your profile and saves are set up.
